What I found in the past is as things get on, and as they get girlfriends, the girlfriends are whispering things in their ears and saying, “You should be a solo star,” “You should be the lead singer” – that’s usually the problem.

And he’s not the only one: Fans are only too happy to call Perrie the band’s Yoko Ono. Haaarsh.

Sam Taylor-Johnson will not be returning to direct the Fifty Shades of Grey sequels. Fans of the film will be unsurprised to hear this, given that Taylor-Johnson admitted to clashing with author EL James on the set:

We would have proper on-set barneys… It was about finding a way between the two of us, satisfying her vision of what she’d written as well as my need to visualise this person on screen but, you know, we got there.

She told Deadline yesterday that directing the first film had been an “intense and incredible journey” but she wouldn’t be taking on the sequels. (Metro)
